Laser: il laser emette luce non visibile con una lunghezza d'onda di 940 nm, non danneggia gli occhi e migliora le prestazioni anti-interferenza della sorgente luminosa esterna.
Intervallo da ± 3% al massimo a oltre ± 10% in condizioni meno ottimali. Tempo di risposta rapido: 50 ms.
Il VL53L0X misura esattamente quanto tempo ci vuole per gli impulsi di luce infrarossa raggiungere l'ostacolo e riflettersi indietro al rivelatore.
Il campo di misurazione è fornito tramite l'interfaccia I2C (TWI) del sensore, che viene utilizzata anche per configurare le impostazioni del sensore. Il sensore dispone inoltre di due pin aggiuntivi: spegnimento dell'ingresso e uscita di interruzione.
Applicazione: rilevamento gesto o rilevamento di prossimità di interfacce utente innovative; rilevamento murale, rilevamento scogliere e rilevamento di collisioni di elettrodomestici.
